Competition

The Digital Photography competition starts with a clear plastic pocket. Below are three separate photographic briefs to challenge photographers. The briefs are accompanied by an object(s), that students need to use in their composition.

You may choose either one of the three briefs.

Students can work as individuals or in teams of two. If time permits, students can submit an entry for more than one brief.

To submit a photo, you must click on the link below and fill out your details.

BRIEF ONE > MOTION CAPTURE

This brief is a bit of a celebration. Your task is to capture the object in motion. If you need more add as much as you want. It’s about motion, so your image must convey a sense of movement.

Let’s keep this brief environmentally friendly – don’t forget to clean up when you’re finished.

BRIEF TWO > CLOSE-UP

This brief is asking you to use your lens to look closer. Place the objects in any arrangement you want. You can use a single object, or use them all!

BRIEF THREE > PORTRAIT

This brief has one rule: feature the object in a portrait. How you or your subject use the object is up to you.

Note: For this brief we’re defining a portrait as any shot where a person is the main subject.
